If you are worried now
Contact your treating team first and say what you have noticed, which side it is on, and how quickly it appeared. If the team cannot be reached, call the hospital main line. For a red-flag finding — rapid one-sided swelling, difficulty swallowing or breathing, an eye that cannot be closed, or skin turning dark — go to the nearest emergency department immediately rather than waiting for a reply. This website is not an emergency channel and is not monitored as one.
Arranging a revision assessment
Non-urgent concerns — a hairline that has moved, an ear pulled forward, a widened scar, an operated look, or asymmetry — are assessed in the outpatient clinic of the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center at Chongqing West District Hospital, 301 Huafu Avenue North Section, Jiulongpo District, Chongqing. Call the outpatient line, or use the channel described on the appointments page, and say that you are asking about a previous facelift.
What to bring
The previous operative note is the most useful document you can bring, along with any discharge summary and photographs taken at intervals since the operation. Bring your medication list and say what you have applied to the scars. If you were operated on elsewhere and no record exists, an assessment can still be made, but it is more cautious, because the plan depends on knowing how much the tissue has already been moved.
What the assessment covers
Nerve function is tested before appearance is discussed: the forehead, the eyes and the mouth. Swelling, skin colour along the incisions, the position of the hairline and the ear, and the maturity of the scars are recorded and photographed. Where a second operation is considered, you should leave knowing what it would change, what it would not, what the recovery involves, and what would make it the wrong decision.
Fees, records and privacy
This site does not quote prices, because the plan depends on the findings and is discussed directly at consultation. What was found and what was done is documented so that the record follows you. Clinical photographs are taken for planning and follow-up, and are not published or used for teaching without a separate consent you are free to refuse.
